MARATHON
A translation of Edoardo Erba's simple play Maratona di New York.
Night-time. A country lane. Two men training run into their past and into their future. A beautifully simple exploration of what it means to be alive.
Edoardo Erba's Maratona di New York has been produced many times in Italy and other countries.
It was first produced in Colin Teevan's translation at the Gate Theatre, London on 18 November 1999. Directed by Mick Gordon.
It has been subsequently revived several times in New Zealand and Australia.
